That cunning look back at you as you cut through that oh-so-soft cover to reveal the tightly wound world beneath. The balata ball marked the best. The one the pros used, with unmistakeable feel and feedback. You could serve up the shot of your life, or curve one right off the planet. It was golf as an art form, the perfect tool to craft your way through the course.
We’ve taken inspiration from that name because we don’t want that art to die. As golf becomes a chase for yards and perfection, we’ve all benefited. We hit the ball further, can fight a shot against the wind, have equipment that can take us to new heights with incredible accuracy—but this is less about the game and more about the culture.
